Ours just took a few plot twists.
CHAPTER 01 / THE MEETING
A swipe right. A dinner date. A change of plans.
We met on Bumble and agreed on one thing:
No marriage. No pressure.
Our first date was at Sushi Tango in Uptown Minneapolis. We thought it was just dinner. Then came another date, and another.
Somewhere along the way, our “no marriage” agreement became the beginning of forever.

The real test was always the family.
Then came the real test…
Next came meeting the parents—and winning over the real VIPs: Cece and Tori.
He stepped into a house of toddler-led chaos and never skipped a beat, offering patience, playfulness, and calm when we needed it most. He showed up for bath time, school runs, and bedtime stories, earning trust one small moment at a time.
Tori even put him through the makeup test: blush and glitter lipstick included.
What began as a relationship grew into our family, built on love, laughter, and showing up for each other.
The verdict? Full approval.
The next chapterCHAPTER 03 / MAY 15
The day our next chapter began.
On May 15, 2024, we took a quiet boat ride with Cece and Tori—and came home engaged.
Chris got down on one knee, and our “no marriage” agreement officially became history.
We chose a future together, with Cece and Tori by our side.
The answer was yes!
One beautiful yes. A lifetime of choosing each other—and the family we’ve become.
